 Glacier Bay toilet fill problems
Author: kudzu63 (AL)

My wife and I decided to upgrade our toilets. I needed a handicap toilet and the only thing we could afford was the Glacier Bays all in one toilets. We bought two but they are different kinds. The one I am having trouble with is the dual flush toilet. When I first installed it I noticed that when you flushed it that the water that goes into the bowl didn't completely surround the bowl at the top. After about three weeks of using it, now when you flush it, the ONLY water that comes into the bowl is from the big hole in the bottom of the bowl. There seems to be none at all that swirls around from the top to "clean" the bowl. I checked and their is holes in the top underneath the rim but no water going through them. What can I do if anything other than taking it back to Home Depot?? Thanks for any and all help.

Glacier Bay, while 'affordable', is the cheapest stuff you can get.

Hardly an upgrade, most likely a SERIOUS downgrade in terms of quality - however it was new and shiny.

Take it back for a replacement.

? What is YOUR time and trouble worth ?

ps.

easy and cheap temporary fix until new QUALITY toilet purchase

You do not tell us anything that could help us diagnose it. The water may not be leaving the tank properly.

He said it was a Glacier Bay. That tells me plenty.

I've got the same problem: No water flows from the rim holes on the front half of the bowl. Couldn't figure out why urine smell remained and/or bowl was not washed of feces after after flushing. Eventually noticed the lack of water flow into the bowl.
Is there a fix, or should we have the unit replaced>
