black water speratically coming from kitchen sink & bathroom faucet, hot water only

This is getting to happen more and more. Used to only happen in my tub, but now it's in the kitchen sink as well. I think it's confined to hot water only as far as I can tell. Please help.

I would flush the water heater and then shut it down and check the anode rod to see if there is anything left. The anode rod is designed to deteriorate instead of the hot water tank. It is quite possible that it has been doing its job and is causing the problem as it is at or near the end of its useful life.
