I am just curious.
Saw this part at a local Habitat For Humanity. No one knows what it is.
It looks to be made of brass, and on the back says "CHAMPION" and "Los Angeles". There is a female threaded connection, and a 1/2" nipple threads into it nicely.
What is it?
Is it a floor flange?

i doubt a floor flange would be made out of brass..
i would guess it is electrical in nature.

They're "old school" sprinkler heads. The good ones were(are?) brass. They're made in both pop-up and fixed height styles. There's a spanner wrench that engages the notches to tighten/loosen.
