i have done as vic has asked. i looked thru catalogues, searched google and even the big box stores but can't find a 48 inch 3 piece shower stall with the drain located close to the front.
i find plenty with center drain but because of structual considerations i can't drill thru a beam.
so, if anyone knows of one, please post.
thanks...

i can see part of the front bumper on my explorer. we had snow turn to rain turn back to snow yesterday. only 2-3 inches but it is heavy. right now it is above freezing and some of the snow is melting/compacting. tomorrow the below zero weather comes back but only for a day.

Packy, I think you'll be hard-pressed to find a 48" unit in that configuration. A 60" unit is a dime-a-dozen. Can the space be upsized to 60"?

Here in SE IL, we have a company that manufactures cultured marble and granite products. I removed my neo-angle 1 piece fiberglass shower and gave him the exact measurements for the base and drain location.
I used 48"x44" dimensions with the drain close to the inside corner. It fit perfectly.
