This happened before and I had to call a plumber but I can't afford one now.
My kitchen sink is stopped up and dirty water is filling up a broken dishwasher and leaking all over the kitchen floor.
I have tried two different Drano type products but they did not fix the problem. Plunging did not help either. I have a thing that you put in the pipe to unstop it but it won't go through the tiny slits in the kitchen sink drain. It seems like any water that goes down the drain in the kitchen sink ends up filling up the broken dishwasher and then overflowing onto the floor.
Is there anything I can do to fix this without calling a plumber? I really don't know anything about plumbing obviously. Thanks for any help.

if the trap under the sink is removable, take it off and stick the snake wire in from there.
be careful as there will be chemicals in the drain water.
