No hot or cold in kitchen
Author: airtrooper (MD)

Happened once before but just started working before I could check it out; happened again this morning; no water from the sink and no water going into dish washer (same cold water pipe); disconnected lines from sink; no water coming though either hot or cold pipes; have hot & cold everywhere else in the house. Sonce I assume the water is coming through two separate pipes, this one has me puzzled. Any ideas?

A frozen water pipe. What are the nightly temps in your area?

So after tracing the lines; even though I has the area around the pipes insulated, it appears that I had the beginning of frozen pipes (very low temps las night); a little heater near the pipes and now water is flowing.

Consider wrapping the exposed pipe with Frost-Tek, Heat Cord. You can single, double or triple wrap your exposed pipes with heat cord and then apply your insulation over the heat cord. This way your pipes will be protected at the lowest temperatures.
