 Allen wrench size
Author: Rocket Gal (Non-US)

I need to remove a the handle on a kitchen faucet/spray wand unit.
I don't have any Allen wrench sets and I'm trying to figure out what to buy.
How do I know if I need a metric set or a regular US set of wrenches?
The screw looks very small ...

Do you know the brand of faucet ? You can usually buy an assortment of Allen wrenches for just a couple of dollars.

What make and model is the faucet, because most of them just unscrew from the hose?

yes, I've seen them. They are about $9 plus tax a set; Metric or non-metric. I don't want to buy both.
I don't know who the manufacturer of the faucet is... it's about 17 years old and I can't see any markings.
Thanks for your thoughts. Maybe I could buy both sets and return the one I don't need.

Rocket Gal......Do not use a balldriver allen wrench. It is an allen wrench with a rounded hex section on the end of the long arm of the allen. Get Allen wrenches without that. It is a weak point, and will snap off. If that happens, your up a creek, without a paddle.
