We are building a new home and the sheetrock is not up yet, but the laundry sink was plumbed in the wrong place. The builder is telling me that it cannot be moved because the drain is in the slab. It only needs to go about 3.5' to the left. Is he just trying to get out of fixing it or is there something that can be done?

It would take longer to carry the tools in than it would to change the location of the sink drain + water. Maybe the plumber doesn't realize it staying in the same wall.

Thank you both so much. This is exactly what I needed to hear (and suspected, even with my non-existent knowledge of plumbing.) Now I am armed with what I need to fight my battle. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to answer my question.
