Have a Gerber, two handle shower faucet (don't know the model, but likely mid 1970's vintage). Was leaking out of hot water handle while using shower. Decided to replace bonnet packing and washer. Have done this repair in the past since we have lived in same house for decades.
So I turned off all water to the house, and performed the repair (My Gerber uses a #51 bonnet pack, and 1/4 L seat washer. Reassembled the stem and re-installed. Turned water to the house back on and now have virtually zero water pressure coming from either the hot or cold. Up to this point, I hadn't even touched the cold line, so have no idea how that got affected. Subsequently, I did same replacement for the cold stem, since it was likely a matter of time before that too had issues. No other faucets in the house are affected, only the master bath.
I then turned water back off, removed the stems and re-installed the eschutchen plate. Had someone turn water back on, and it shot out of both hot and cold...so I am obviously getting good pressure to the tub fixture. I then re-installed the stems, and have same issue (no pressure).
Any thoughts, suggestions, or solutions would be appreciated.

Debris got lodged in the shower head. Hopefully it has a restrictor screen on it and you can simply unscrew it, flush the hot and cold lines, rinse the shower head screen out, then re-attach.

Remove the shower head and flush. Clean the screen if there. You can also soak the shower head in vinegar overnight to loosen any debris inside the head.
