Grohe shower leaking at handle

I did a search and couldn't find this problem. I have an old Grohe EuroPlus shower. There is a small leak from around the control handle. If it were the cartridge I think it would leak from the shower head not around the handle. The schematic shows what looks like three o-rings or grommets at the rear of the cartridge, they interface with the water supply. My parts place says they are no longer sold by Grohe and the cartridge kit does not seem to have them included?? Any ideas on what might be leaking and how to fix it?

Author: packy (MA) i can't make any sense out of that exploded view. contact grohe and ask their "expert" customer care department. i believe they too have a lifetime guarantee..
