I have a top load LG Wave Force washer. NO hot water getting into machine. The cycle I have selected is for "warm" wash. So far, I have disconnected both water lines and cleaned the filter at the washing machine, checked that I have good water pressure from both hoses (when disconnected from machine), hot line is connected to hot; cold to cold. I'm sure this is not a plumbing issure, but a washer issure.
I think it is a bad solenoid, but I don't have a working multi-meter to test it. Is it safe to assume I just need to replace the inlet valve? What else could it be?
TIA

Remove the solenoid (hot) valve and clean and replace. Solenoids rarely go bad. They do foul and need cleaning.

Without some means to tell if the solenoid is getting power, that may be the first step, although it could also be the control panel not energizing the hot solenoid. Most fill valves are one piece and you change the hot and cold valves at the same time.

We borrowed a multi meter and it tested the same across all 5 connections so it is getting power, so must be more of a "mechanical" problem than electrical. I'll attempt to remove it (wow! the hoses are afixed SO tight!) but exactly how does one go about cleaning it?

cleaning it would refer more to debris under the seat/s causing it not to shut off.
your problem is different. it won't open.
replace it...

Thank you all so much for your responses!
I have a part on order. Should know shortly if this will solve my problem.
If not, I guess it's been cleaning OK with just cold water . . .

Trust me, it doesn't seem to matter what you do. I have an LG5270 I'm about to blowup with dynamite. It's a week old; no warm water. Feels like tap.
