I have an older drinking fountain I rescued from work. It's porcelain, no metal drain, with a large push button on the side. I was wondering if anyone could help with parts and/or helping me identify the era it was from. I know the piping inside says Crane and there is a 245 in the porcelain, probably the batch number maybe model, I will post pictures soon. Thanks for any help!!!!

Strange as it may seem. Most to all of the brass components are still available. What do you wish to do with the water fountain? Most users have pulled the brass and replaced it with a push button component on the top, for a no-lead bubbler.

Caution, if your old Crane Drinking Fountain requires the 2-piece drain assy with the t-bar, you might be out of luck as that drain assy is obsolete and must be hand made.

I'm sure that I have one laying around in the shop. The drain assembly consisted of the top drain spud, with a cross grid and hole in the center for a threaded fastener. The bottom of the drain assembly had a t-bar in the center. As one tighten the fastener at the top, it would pull the bottom T up to the grid. A drain gasket, water proof the connection. A threaded tail piece was screwed into the bottom of the T Spud Assy. Crane and Kohler both used this assembly for a couple of years. The problem was the T-bar would oxidize from cleaning materials and acids.

Sorry for the delay everyone I was away for the holidays. These are some pics of the drinking fountain. I am not sure how old it is or if it is even able to work without gutting everything and starting over.
