 Adding Zones

I recently had my old Weil Mclain HE2 boiler witch was setup with two zones using Honeywell zone valves replaced... For whatever reason the contractor was unable to utilize the 2 zones in my home... What will I need to get the 2 zones operational... I have a GWA 105 - N - T S2 Boiler, the 2 zone valves are still intact (Both are in the open position) the boiler is operating of one Thermostat???

Please Help

impossible to say without seeing the piping set-up.
but if the installer left the piping in the original configuration, all you need is some additional low voltage wiring. very simple job.
if the piping was changed then you need to repipe back to the way it was and also rewire.

We have no way of knowing why he didn't use them. I'd speculate that he is now pumping them backwards, and when he fired it up, they bang. But, we have no way of knowing for sure.What happened, that you are left trying to fix this yourself? This sounds like a handiman installation. If it is...your family may be in danger, and zone valves may be the least of your worries.
