Hello, I'm remodeling my bathroom and have removed the plaster walls. Since the plumbing is exposed I want to upgrade the galvanized pipes with PEX. Which makes the best longest lasting connection shark bite quick conects ar just the compression rings.

i think there is some confusion over the terminology.
when you refer to compression rings, i assume you mean just that. 5/8 compression rings..
when you refer to crimp rings, i assume you also mean just that.
the crimp rings are the best way to go.
you need a special tool to crimp the rings but those can be bought on e-bay and re-sold on e-bay. they can also be rented from some plumbing suppliers.
once again, compression rings are tightened using 2 wrenches.

In order of preference
1) Crimp Rings
2) Clamps, properly applied
3) Sharkbites.

Thank you yes, messed up not compression fittings. The brass rings a tool smashes them you have the clamp like they use on automotive fuel lines also. I will go with the rings seems like preferred and best solution. Thanks guys
