Can anyone identify this shower valve? It looks to be pretty old and I need to get 2 replacements.

search "Lasco S-1125-3"

Edit- for correct info. The AmStd also doesn't have the loose top barrel.

My first response is American Standard but Kohler also used a "barrel" type of stem/seat combo.

Not good pictures, but the "neck down" on the "seats/sleeves" should mean they are Kohler. American Standard have straight sides all the way to the point where the turn inward.

Steve, you're amazing! That looks like the right one. Is there any way for me to be sure (or somewhere I can buy and return if they don't fit/work)? Thanks so much for your time and help, God bless.

As I stated in my reply, the Kohler has the "necked down/concave" portion, and it is the only one like it, as far as I know.

Thanks so much to everyone for the info, I can get them for less than HALF of what I was quoted by someone local who needed me to bring them in for him to identify them. Really appreciate all your input.

How could they price them if they did not know what they were?

We sent the picture to a local guy (after visiting 2 plumbing supply stores who could not identify them) and I asked him about how much they would probably cost, he said probably $130 - $140 for the pair but he would need to see them in person to identify them. We didn't want to take them out again without having replacements so I thought we'd try here (GLAD we did!). The screws that hold the washers are bad (one has no slot left), the screws that hold the handles broke off inside and I'm guessing the seats are bad too because I managed to get one of the washer screws out and replaced the washer but a week later when we took them out again (to see if someone else could identify them) the washer didn't look very good and needed to be turned pretty hard to get the water to stop dripping. Thanks so much to everyone for helping out (and saving us some money).

Anyone who could look at those sleeves and NOT know they should be Kohler has not been in the repair business very long.

Anyone who could look at those sleeves and NOT know they should be Kohler has not been in the repair business very long. The Plumbmaster, (only to contractors), price for them is $5.45 each.

WOW, that's an even better deal..ha ha. I'm doing this for a friend (he was out of work for a while and isn't doing well financially) and when we started taking it apart I told him they'd probably be about $30 each (which was just a guess). I'm so glad you knew what they were, (and can't believe none of the locals did) very grateful for your help, thanks again so much.
