Please help - when I run a load of laundry, I get suds coming up out of the standpipe. No water, just suds. I have searched and googled this problem, and I think it's a plumbing design problem. I have 1 1/2" pipes and should have 2" pipes. Will this solve the problem if my plumber changes the plumbing? He's coming to do the work on Friday, so if you think this isn't the problem, please let me know! And it's not the type of detergent or amount of detergent that's the problem. I've tried it all! Thank you for your help.

Have you considered that you might be using too much soap? How old is the washer?
