I installed 2 Home Depot combo granite countertops with sink bowls attached.
I started noticing a sewer type smell coming from the sink area. I checked the fittings and even hired a plumber to check it out. Nothing is loose and the trap has water in it.
I noticed brown drippings from where the bowl meets the granite. This is an intermittant problem. Both bathroom sinks were purchassed at different times maybe months apart. Has anyone had this problem?
Thanks!

It sounds like the sinks aren't sealed to the countertops and crud is getting in there.

Do the sinks have pop-up stoppers and overflows? Are you sure the smell is coming from the brown leakage?
