Hello guys:I have the well McLain ultra 80.
it was setup with a single zone.
I am adding a second zone using a separate circulator pump for each zone, my question is can this be wired using two sr-501 relays or do I need to use a 2 zone relay? Thanks in advance.

either way will work.
wiring is a bit simpler with a 2 zone relay.

Thank you very much. I had thought that it might work either way but I wanted a second opinion. Thanks again.

I'm not a big fan of zoning mod/con boilers. It's been a while since I looked at the Ultra's literature, but the boiler can certainly run 1 zone by itself, possibly 2. It can run more than 1 heating curve also.

I was wondering if you could Post some information on how to wire my system with 2 single zone relays? Mainly thermostats. I have the manual for the Boiler but it's kind of puzzling. Again I am using two circulator pumps. No zone valves.
