Hi all,
I've got a heating system that I think isn't configured by my plumber properly.
It's all supposed to work off a wood burning boiler stove. We have a large stove and this connects to a Water tank (for storing water to take baths), and this then feeds radiators. There's also a shower that works from this hot water too (Non-electric - just works from the hot water off the stove)
I've been having problems with this because the plumber went out of business and no longer is contactable. I paid him in full for the job.
I think it's a weird configuration.
At that moment even if the water returning to the stove is above 80 degrees I can't get hot water to the radiators. Hot water to the shower works fine.
I've tried to track the pipes, there's a diagram here. The ? marks are the pipes I can't find the end of. BUt I assume they are go and return pipes for radiators and the shower.

If anyone is available I've got two questions.
1. Given my un-finished diagram does it appear that the system is configured correctly? I don't know why we'd have to expansion tanks. An the smaller one (3.5 bar) has a pipe to it but not passed it..
2. Why would the hot water not be going to the radiators. It's as if the water gets to the pump but the pump can't get it to the radiators. I'm unsure why the pump is connected to the second larger expansion tank.... To me it looks a bit of a mess.
Just fed up with it as winter is approaching and I really want to get it sorted as got a wee one on the way in February.

I assume the water in the wood stove does not mix with the water in the cylinder ?
You do not have a return pipe drawn on the diagram, the hot water has no way to make it back to the cylinder if I'm looking at the diagram correctly.
