Both sides of my kitchen sink become filled up with water rather fast when I run the water, and then wont drain. I thought it may be attributed to a clog in the pipes, but I plunged, then hand snaked, used a metal hanger (took the trap off and everything) and used the "baking soda and vinegar" diy. Even when I don't run the water in the kitchen, some how both sides get filled with water. I live in a bottom apartment, so it could possibly be my upstairs neighbors water? I honestly don't have a clue.
I am extremely frustrated as it has been four days since the clog. I thought the blockage (if that is what it is) was because I dumped left over noddles down the garbage disposal but the water goes past the disposal and gets backed up somewhere after the trap. I can't get a plumber until I am paid and have a break from work. Any advice other than calling a plumber, would save me my sanity and I will be forever grateful. Thanks in advance.
If you require more information, I will happily provide it.

There's a clog in the common drain piping that you and your neighbor both use. Notify your neighbor that their water usage is backing up into your unit and notify the building owner/manager that the building's common piping is plugged.

The line needs snaked out by a professional with professional equipment. The blockage could be 20 feet away and you would never get to it with any amount of hangars. Baking soda and vinegar only makes salt water and a mess. Like Steve said, contact your building manager. It would be a good idea to have a large capacity wet vac on hand just in case. If someone upstairs empties a double sink full of water down the pipe, you will have a lot of water in a hurry that you need to contain.
