Heres a little toilet talk...

Sometimes when I flush my American Standard Champion 4 , I get a louder flush/gurgle at the end but then other times it is silent.

There are no backup in the house (knock on wood) and the toilet doesn't bubble or clog.

Is this a sign of a partial blockage or perhaps characteristic of the type of toilet I have which seems to flush different than other toilets to begin with?

It probably has to do with the pressure in the sewer system at the time. If there is a negative pressure in the system, it should naturally suck a little more air when the siphon breaks on the flush.

Thanks... so you don't think its an indication of a partial blockage?

If something was acting up consistently, I would be more suspect; I wouldn't worry about it at this time.

The noise difference can occur from one flush to the next.... its a consistent fluctuation.
