Is it ok if I do my shower drain like this?
Author: Bobrob33 (KY)

I'm having a lot of trouble getting my shower drain/riser straight, and was wondering if it's ok if I do it like this: [imgur.com]. There are no vertical dips, just a slight curvature horizontally due to the 22 1/2. Would that be alright? Thanks!

if you did that kind of work for sister casilda in the 4th grade at st joes grammar school, she would give you a gold star for your forehead.
in other words, it is fine...

It looks fine until you try to glue it. Then it won't fit.

Then, there's all the wood butchery of the floor joists. It must be on a upper floor. What's with turning a 2"X 8" into a 1"X8, part way down the joist? The 2 5/8" hole through the joist. Not in the middle third of the joist.

My won't it squeak when the water flows through it and it expands and contracts.
