okay, so i had a guy come over and fix the water in my bathroom. He took everything apart cause the water was running and i could no longer get it tight enough to turn it off. now the water is hard to turn off and most of the water runs thru the tub spout instead of the shower head. Can any one offer me any help? Please

... a guy come over and fix the water ...
either:
have the 'guy' come back and do it right
or
call an actual plumber

Call a plumber first this time.
If your shower had compression stems, you could have been destroying the seats when the washers on the stems deteriorated. If you have a 3 handle shower valve, it is possible debris flowed from the hot or cold stem to the diverter stem and got wedged, preventing the diverter from operating correctly. Either way, call a plumber to assess the situation. The handles may be hard to turn because the 'guy' tightened down the packing nuts around the (probably leaking) stems. They may need to be repacked as well. Regardless, a plumber can assess and repair the damage, but depending on your area, it might have to wait till monday if parts are required and not available.

HE didn't fix the faucet correctly and you need a new diverter spout.
