Homedepot has started to carry the eco smart tankless wtr htr. Has anyone delt with these or hheard anything on them. They have regular elements and have a lifetime warrenty on the heatrt. They have several good reviews but yalls thoughts

gut reaction:
if a big box store sells it, be careful, be very very careful
IMO: check their model no. vs. the model no. at the plumbing supply
if they are not IDENTICAL it very well could be a secondary line of product
even Kohler (unless a 'special order') has two lines (the HD line has D in the model no.)

Yes i agree i worked at a plumbing supply house for 13 years..i just work hd parttime in the plbg dept..

I installed (did not furnish, h/o bought off Amazon) one a few weeks ago. It was supplying hot water to a bath and kitchen. It seemed to do okay at the tub/shower when I tested it. Electrically, it was powered by 3- 40 amp breakers.

U r correct. . 3 -40amp breakers. Min 200 breaker box. But doesnt most electric tankless have coils instead of elements. Seems that the tankless with elements woukd be more reliable less probs

The shape of the heating element should have nothing to do with reliability.Obviously, you can get more surface area into a smaller space with a coil design.
