Has anyone come across a stubborn Sioux Chief clean out cover that won't come off?
I had no problem getting the three brass screws out. I tried to pry the cover up with two flat head screwdrivers and a punch and broke them all. I used my razor knife to make sure no epoxy was in the edge of the cover.
Please help! plumbers do you have any tricks ? thanks in advance

Hit it harder. You may have to "concave" the center so it pulls away from the edges. After you have it out, turn it over and beat it flat again before you reinstall it.

I got it
I just needed to remove all the epoxy floor coating
I don't do much drain work and had the wrong idea on what the removable part of the cover was. Once I removed more epoxy coating it came up easy.
thanks for your consideration in helping HJ and Drain Man...love this site!
