Recently the temperature of my hot water has been decreasing, and on top of that, the shower head is leaking, and getting worse. I watched a couple videos online to have a good understanding of how to fix these problems on my own. I was dismantling the single shower handle, then the limiting temperature plastic piece, the sleeve, then I got to the cartridge and its clip. The clip itself is not stuck, but its positioning, as well as the cartridge's positioning is too deep within the shower faucet plate to where if I try to lift up on the cartridge clip to release it, it is blocked by the top of the faucet plate. I looked for any videos that might have a solution to this problem, but no results found. I figured my next best solution would be to post a blog and see if anyone has had similar problems or is knowledgeable enough to know how I could fix this issue. I would greatly appreciate any information regarding this issue.
Best regards,
Zane.

Unscrew the two retaining screws and remove the plate.

I knew I needed to remove the plate but it was glued to shower wall. I wanted to see if anybody knew of another way to deal with that issue. But I went ahead and removed the adhesive and plate and I have access to it now. I appreciate the response.
Best regards,
Zane.

What you have is an installation where someone wanted the handle to look like it did on the display board, so it was mounted deeper in the wall. If it had been installed according to the specifications, the clip would have been accessible.
