kitchen sink removal bolt issue?
Author: initialrt (CA) Hello all, Yet another captivating kitchen sink removal has hit a snag. Got the plastic nuts off the right and left but the center faucet lead-ins seems to be bolted down by something super rusty...I'm a total noob. Any help is greatly appreciated. Edited 1 times.

Author: bernabeu (SC) it is an 'elongated nut' similar to a threaded rod coupling you can try spraying with 'liquid wrench' and let it soak overnight get a deep socket which fits and a ratchet wrench and force 'er off if the bolt snaps, so be it either way it will be off ============================================== "Measure Twice & Cut Once" - Retired U.A. Author: packy (MA) agree... long socket and a breaker. i wouldn't bother soaking it in penetrating oil as most likely the male threaded piece will unscrew from the faucet body and pull down..

Author: hj (AZ) You are lucky, because the installer did not install the "lock bolt" into the bottom of it. Just grab it with a socket and unscrew, or break it, with a ratchet and extension.
