Can anyone provide information as to who is the manufacturer of a faucet or valve with the following marking?

How about a picture showing MORE of the valve or at least a description of WHAT it is for?

I don't have any other photos readily available at the moment. The part is a chrome plated, cross handled angle stop valve with a rather large escutcheon. There are no other markings on any component of the assembly. The only marking is the v or check mark in the circle that is visible in the photo and is located on the valve body. I cannot recall ever having seen this marking before and my research has found nothing.

the large escutcheon is covering the solder joint of the angle stop's 'tail piece'
the 'tailpiece' sweats OVER a 1/2 copper stub-out
just buy a new one

That picture is close but the valve body is not the same. The valve I have has a cartridge just like a faucet, not like a stop valve, which is why I first identified it as a faucet/valve. I'm really only trying to identify the manufacturer, I don't need another one or a replacement. That's why I was hoping that someone may know who that marking with the v or check mark in a circle belongs to.
