I've been tasked with adding water to a really really old trough urinal. There's already a water supply line but it's been broken off. I've never done something like this and wanted to get ideas. I was thinking a straight pipe with holes drilled in it or something along those lines. Thoughts?

section of 3/4-1" PVC with 1/16" hole every 4-6" aimed down and at the back to act as a water 'curtain'

make sure the outlet of the holes is 1"+ above the overflow rim of the fixture

Is this a continous run or timed unit? Time units are activated to conserve water. Continous run trough urinals still require a restrictor and shutoff to control water. Not very conservative, but it works. Does this unit drain into city sewers or a 55 gallon tank buried below??? Well water or city supplied?

It could be either continuous or timed. City sewers and city supplied water. water pressure is very low because the building is very old.

Continuous was be completely improper. It should be flushed by a pushbutton valve or a sensor. Maybe put a sign over it, "Do not drink the water or wash hands here,before returning to work"
