Our 10 y/o badger died, doesn't even hum anymore. My wife wants a new one. I would like to get a decent one without breaking the bank. All answers much appreciated.

Did you try pressing the reset button on the bottom of the disposal?Maybe it's just jambed and needs to unjambed.Most people i think like insinkerator.The more you spend the better the quality.Get at least 1/2 horse power.

Today's disposals are much different then, just 10 years ago. The internet is also much bigger and because of that, you will discover a lot more opinions then just 10 years ago. I like insinkerators 1/2 power models, properly installed.
