Hello and thanks for the forum. I'm a newbi here. I am in the process of putting a shower into a Jacuzzi bathtub. I need to find some parts that all the big box stores tell me are not made. Starting with valves I need a diverter valve to switch between the faucet and the shower and a Roman Tub Faucet that will work with the diverter. For the shower I need a chrome bulkhead to sit in the tub and help support a chrome shower pipe (about 4 to 6 ft. long) I want the pipe to be outside of the walls, I'll elbow it over a round shower curtain suspended from the ceiling and this should complete the set-up. I guess my question is, can I do this? Are these out of normal parts available? Any help is appreciated.

You probably won't find a mainstream faucet manufacturer that has what you are looking for but they are out there if you are willing to search (referring to the shower riser).

Sometimes it's the wording you use to search with, (Shower Riser) is a big help. Thanks!

Why do you need a diverter? If you tee off the hot and cold to the Roman tub to an exposed pipe shower, it's "either-or". Are you planning on a shower curtain like they use on clawfoot tubs?

most plumbing codes require the shower to be non-scald.

YOU get a "deck mount" diverter then pipe from the valve to the diverter, then from the diverter to the spout and shower. In most cases, for a set up like this, they use a hand held shower through a hole in the deck.

highly illegal here and the danger of scalding is real...

I will sell them a Grohe remote pressure balancer in that case.

Here is a question, some faucets come with a diverter for a hand shower (the Jacuzzi Waterfall does) like the one we removed, will that type of diverter be enough to supply the shower? this will have about a 6-foot head when I get a riser in. Yes we plan on using a curtain like the retro fit on a claw foot tub. Thanks in advance!
