There is this check made to Al Capone in 1923 by a Arnold Behrer.
Turns out this Arnold Behrer owned the Arnold Behrer and Sons plumbing supply company in Jamaica, New York, he also owned some night club.
So there are speculations that perhaps Al Capone worked in the plumbing supply trade once upon a time or he supplied muscles for the night club.
So does it mean Al Capone may have poured a lead joint?
hj, you know Chicago, have you heard about this?

No, but I think you have a better chance of Capone laundering the money, than operating a supply house.

Laundering $68?
I doubt it would be that small an amount.
Perhaps, we wanted to buy a bunch or 36" pliers and 2" CI pipes to club people on their heads? Or he was running plumbing inside those secret tunnels?
