Price Fister hot side was making rubbing noise when it was turned. I took cartridge out to see why it was making noise. After putting valve back together, valve handle will only turn 1/4 of the way? I do not know what I did? Any advice would be appreciated.

Packy,
Thank you for such a quick reply.
I figured it out. The valve "is" supposed to turn only a 1/4 turn. It acts just like the cold valve. I put some plumbers grease on the rings{wherever I could}. Noise seems to have gone away.

That stem does NOT look like any Pfister stem I have ever seen. As far as I know, unless it is VERY recent, they NEVER made a plastic stem which was held in place by a retainer, or have a "D" handle broach. That is more common with Delta stems, but that one, while similar, does not match a Delta either.
