 ID old shower fixture
Author: NJDark (NJ)

I am looking for any info I can get on this fixture. I would like to replace it with a more modern model if possible, preferably without re-plumbing the set-up.Any info would help and be greatly appreciated. (please excuse our messy tenants tub)

Boy, I haven't seen one of those in decades, although there never were a "lot" of them. It is a Moen Moenique 3625 valve It was designed as a valve, soap dish, and grab bar. Because of the way it is designed and installed, there is almost no way to "upgrade" it without a retile job.

I guess that shows you how "popular" they were.

Something in the diverter assembly of an old Moen Moenique shower/tub faucet broke and I was wondering how to get the body assembly off so I can replace the diverter assembly. Does the body assembly just slide off leaving the filler tube poking out? My fixture is 44 years old and has never been disassembled. Any clues?????
