I dont know if I posted this picture correctly, but this faucet is leaking and I want to get this piece out but do not want to tear it up cause it looks like cheap plastic, any ideas? I do not know what he brand is, but it is a single lever on the side of the faucet rather then the top. Thank you.

If you could post an image from just a little further back it might be easier to tell. I suspect that the piece holding the plastic in would spin off, but can't really tell.

Hope you have the water turned off.

Actaully this picture is not clearly uploaded, it would be better if you could manage a high resoulation picture. But I think you should change the idea that you are not interested to tear it up only for it is looking like a cheap plastic.
