I have a Delta shower faucet which I think is a 1996-2000 vintage. I do not know the model number. Recently it started dripping so I replaced the seals and springs which did NOT stop or change the drip. Checked the Delta website and it said if seals/springs did not work replace the cartridge. I removed the cartridge and took it to a local Lowe's. They have only two units, 13-14 series and 1300-1400 series. Clearly the 1300-1400 series is a physical match as the other unit is shorter. I purchased a 1300-1400 series unit (model#19804), put it in and the drip stopped so I thought that was the end of it. However, the next morning my wife said the water was not getting as hot as before. Upon checking I agree and also think the new cartridge does not rotate as far counter-clockwise (toward hot). To be clear, I do not know the model of my faucet. I surfed the Delta website for a while but cannot discern what is different about my faucet. I did find a reference to faucets made before 2006 but it said to use the same model RP19804 cartridge. Can anyone tell me how/where to find my model number or explain what may be going on?
Thanks,
David Cochran

You have a shower faucet with temperature limiting device. You'll have to remove the handle and set the limiter to a higher setting.
