Hi, we have what I think is a somewhat unique situation.
Currently we have 3 sinks in a basement that drain to a Simer laundry sink pump. The pump itself has needed to be replaced several times because the sinks are used for dyeing fiber, mostly wool, and the fibers are sometimes much finer than hair so it has no trouble getting through normal off-the-shelf mesh drain screens.
Ideally what we'd like to do is have a finer screen in the sink itself, and an inline trap or filter of some sort just before the pump basin in order to catch whatever makes it through the sink screens.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

quite frankly, the only screen/s i would use are those that sit in the drain of the sink itself. i think hey are for hair. easy to install and easy to clean.

We have those but the holes are too big and water runs under the lip anyway. These work passably for hair, but as I posted originally the fiber is much finer than normal hair.

Install a beauty parlor sink hair trap. They are easier to clean than a "Y" strainer.
