I seem to have water from below the basement slab draining into the crock of my sewage ejector pump in the basement. There is also a separate sump pump about 6 ft away. We are having heavy rains in MD currently, and noticed this problem for the first time. Attached is a temporary link to a video illustrating the issue in the sewage ejector pump.

Any ideas on how best to fix this problem?

Unless it is washing away the partition of soil/clay, between the sump pit and the sewage basin, it is a temporary issue and should disappear as the water table decreases. Or you can set the float on the sump basin lower so it kicks in before the sump overflows.
Or you can be prepared to spend a lot of money on engineering studies and construction costs.
Best Wishes

yeah, wait 'till the ground water level drops and address this then.
the basin is probably fiberglass and can be repaired with a specific kit.

Where can I get a kit? Is it worth it to call a plumbing company to fix, or is it easy enough for a not very handy person to do.
