Hi, I have had a Tea for Two tub from Kohler for about 10 years and, in spite of the idea that my wife and I would be taking romantic baths together, the non-functional drain assembly has put a damper on that plan. I guess I can blame Kohler for my marital problems.
Seriously, the INNER connector piece on the drain assembly seems to get disconnected from the handle which prevents the whole thing from pushing the drain stopper up and down. So, when trying to DRAIN the bath, one would normally lift up the handle and the INNER mechanism would push up the stopper. Not working in this case.
My plumber thinks I need to order the INNER mechanism - the parts INSIDE the entire handle/pipe/stopper assembly. Does anyone else have experience with this problem and have any ideas how to solve it? If I remove the handle will I see the disconnected inner piece? If so, can it be easily reconnected? Or do I need to order a new part from Kohler? If so, where would I get it?
Thanks for your help.
