This is a good one. Hope someone has a fix. I removed my toilet and was ready to install the new one, but the flange was not only rusted but was installed lower than the tile floor and crooked. This explained the foul odor. I removed the flange and installed a coupling on the 3" PVC pipe. Unfortunately, once I cemented the new flange I was still crooked and too high off the floor. So I cut off the flange. Now I am left with a coupling over the 3" pipe resulting in an outside diameter (OD) of 4".
Not enough room to cut below the coupling to start over. I found the "pipe piranha" online, but I prefer not to spend $150 for a one time use. The 4" flanges out there are too wide (~5" OD). Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg

a short piece of 4 inch pvc will glue right over the 3 inch coupling. then glue a 4 inch flange onto the 4 inch pipe.

Thanks Packy. I tried a 4" piece over the mess I created and it's slightly smaller. I believe it's off by 1/32" of an inch. It's not "cement related'. Should I try and use a 4" hole saw to get it to fit?

Thanks Packy! Looks a little narrow, but I don't plan on having a horse use the toilet...I'm off to Home Depot! Will post result.
