Hello. All of a sudden the water coming out of the sink in my bathroom is barely coming out. I have lost almost all water pressure. I took out the washers and made sure that they were unclogged and they were fine. Still no pressure. All the other water sources in our house are working fine. Any suggestions on the next step?

Have you verified the integrity of the stops that feed the faucet and the aerator?

Best Wishes

No..I don't know how to do that lol. My husband is out of town for work and I'm trying to figure this all out myself..maybe I should wait for him to return smiling smiley I did notice that I am getting hot and cold water, and with the aerators out, if I move my finger around and put pressure on teh rubber piece, the area the water comes from changes.

The "rubber piece" may in fact be the aerator washer with an intergral screen. If so, remove it and wash any debris off of it and then reinstall the entire aerator.

If it's a "wide spread" faucet, the orafices on the spout body (underneath) may be clogged. The orafices are surprisingly small, maybe about 1/8" in diameter. Yes, 1/8" believe it or not. The smallest sediment from ol pipes can lodge themselves in those orafices and restrict your water flow/pressure. You should start with disconnecting the supply lines to see if they are clogged. Process of elimination: disconnect supply lens after turning angle stops off of course, get a bucket, turn on angle stops with supply lines pointed into bucket and turn the angle stops back on to flush supply lines. If you have great pressure comin out of supply lines, that tells you your problem is within the actual faucet. If you don't have good pressure coming out of supply lines, your problem is in your pipes or the actual angle stop, they get clogged too. Hope this helps.

If the hot and cold are both affected, and the flow does not change when you have one turned on and then turn on the other, the diagnosis is simple. The clog is AFTER the point when the two waters join together. The "repair" may not be so simple, because it depends on the faucet's make and model.
