ok my floor drain...yea I know again...sorry.....so anyway my 4" cast floor drain has a flood guard float in it and in times of heavy rain and snow melt the float will be up meaning the pipe is full of water ...in a day or so t goes down and is fine...
Yesterday we had a ton of heavy rain after a week of snow melt and everyones yards are flooded and basements too...I checked the floor drain last night and the plunger was up 3/4 of the way which I expected..it poured all night...heavy rains....then turned cold and stopped at 6am...
I went down to look at the drain and surprise...the plunger was all the way down meaning the pipe was empty...but....I had about a cup of water on the floor and it seemed to be coming from right where the block wall meets the floor..there is about a 1/2" strip of bare block that I didnt paint and it was kinda seeping there...
Now im wondering IF it has anything to do with the floor drain being empty ? Could the drain pipe have burst and somehow flowed water 10 ft away and forced it thru my wall or are the two not related ?
I thought if I could buy some of that floursent dye and dump it down the drain either next heavy rain or fush it with water and see if it comes thru the wall colored ?
It doesnt seem like it can be related but its really strange this pipe wasnt full after the heavy rain...its almost like it was sucked out ??
Thanks for your paitents and troubleshooting and if you are sick of hearing about my drain I understand,,,just pass this by...but you guys are pros and may have an idea...
Where can I buy that dye ?

Isn't the area where it's coming through the wall higher than the floor drain?

well the floor drain is flush with the floor,,,then there is a trap under the hole....where its coming thru the wall is about 8-10 ft away from the drain and right where the floor meets the wall....

Looks like seepage. Not the floor drain but wall seepage.

Is there a downspout from a gutter emptying on the ground above there?

there is a gutter but it doesnt leak...also its a 2ft overhang and my sidewalk is there and its angled away from the house and the sidewalk is dry a fot out from the house...so you dont see any connection to the floor drain being empty which is VERY weird seeing as how it rained 3-1/2" and snow melt too w/i 5 hours
