There was another thread (perhaps I should have posted there) where I found the correct cartridge but I am also needing the tub spout. Previous Thread is [www.plbg.com]
After replacing the cartridge a lot of water is coming from the tub spout when I try to use the shower. My plumber is clueless finding these parts. Thank you.

Any spout can be fit to the existing plumbing, it is not a brand specific part. I'd go with a Delta with a pull down diverter.

Thanks. I'll pick one up and see if my plumber can use a Delta.

The Delta I've seen doesn't have the piece that turns the shower on. The lever you pull up. Any recommendations? Thanks again.

After searching further I did find a Delta with the pull up lever. Not sure exactly what I need for this brand. Thanks for the info. I'll pick up what they have at a local home improvement store but doubt anything they stock fits. I'm sure I'll be ordering online again. Thanks for responding.

That's because it has a 'ring' you pull down and it would last a lot longer than one that pulls up. If your plumber is "clueless" about finding a replacement, you might want to replace him also, unless he is super inexpensive.

Thanks I'll pass the info along to the plumber except the part about replacing him. No, he's definitely not cheap and that may very well be my only alternative...replacing the plumber. It's a local establishment that's been in business for many years. Unfortunately, these fixtures are not the "norm" for his quality of expertise. Perhaps they sent the wrong man for the job here. Giving him one last chance. Thanks again.

If he is a "good" service man, then there are few fixtures that are out of the "norm", but a diverter spout should be "norm" for any halfway qualified plumber.

i agree.. even half of the halfway qualified plumbers should know what a diverter spout is..

I need further help. Will someone please provide a link to the exact tub spout I need to purchase. This forum has been a lifesaver. I found the cartridges I needed online and they are ordered. Now I'm in search of the correct tub spouts. It has no screws and is approximately 5 inches and it's photographed in the previous thread I posted. I have three of these setups installed and in dire need of replacement parts without cutting holes in the walls for complete replacement at this point in time. Thanks so much.

quote; is that 25%
I am not sure but 75% of 3 month apprentices would probably know what one was.

You can buy ANY "slip on spout" and it will fit, but other spouts, such as the Delta with the pull down ring, will also work, you just need a competent plumber to make the attachment, (it would take all of 5 minutes to do it).

I can't remove it to match it and don't want to pay shipping fees for something that's not the right part. I will pick up one at a local home improvement store but I am most definitely "replacing" the plumber.

This is the Delta spout mentioned. The ring at the water outlet pulls down to divert water to the shower.

Not sure about the one pictured in the photo above. I did find the tub spout replacement at a local home improvement store and replaced them in my 3 bathtubs. Simple job after watching an online video. Since I know what I need in the future I will get a better brand. Trying to fix things my late husband used to do is a learning process. Thanks again for the help.

A "better" slip on diverter spout, is an oxymoron, because I do not think there are "better" ones.

It seems Delta and some of the "name brands" are mentioned most. If this "generic" brand works, that's all I need. For the cheap price I can replace it several times instead of buying a "name brand". Simple to replace after watching a youtube video. BUT I'm still learning. And still awaiting a plumber to fix things I cannot. The longer I wait the more I learn to do myself. His "to do list" is growing shorter. This forum is very informative and I appreciate the comments. Thanks again.

" way-to-go (girl) "
no offence, meant as a compliment
if you can actually do it yourself then the less expensive big box store 'stuff' is the way to go
if you need to pay a pro, then get better material as the labor would be the main expense
sounds as if you 'get it'
