 Half my toilets not flushing
Author: SkFarmGirl (Non-US)

Hi. Hope someone can help me. I have 4 toilets in my home 2up 2down. They are set up so that there is an upstairs and downstairs bathroom running from one vent/drain etc. they are at opposite ends of the house from each other. All are new within 2 years and flushed well until we left for 2 weeks. The downstairs toilets fill up then drain slowly(at opposite ends of the house) both upstairs toilets flush fine. The tub/showers in up and down bathrooms are all draining fine. Some bubbling noted when I do laundry. We have a open lagoon septic which has worked well for 30 years. Thought that maybe with no use the water level in it had dropped and the nice had collapsed covering something up. Have since had a track hoe clean it out and we found the clean out halfway between house and lagoon. The snake goes all the way through no problem. We have put hot water down both vents on the roof with no improvement. If my showers/tub downstairs weren't draining so well I would think the upstairs toilets are only flushing because there is room in the sewer line, but all that is draining well(as well as my washer that is downstairs) there is absolutely no water or septic backing up into the basement. Any suggestions would be great.
Thank you. Sorry this is so long winded, just wanted to provide as much info as I could think of

with as much knowledge and experience as there is in this forum, sometimes there is a problem that can not be diagnosed over the internet. sounds to me like yours is one of them.
better get a pro out to help.

When in doubt..... a sewer camera should be considered to determine the integrity of your sewerline.
A system that is 30 years old should be serviced onsite, by professionals.

Our speculation via the internet could mislead you. Best to use local professionals.
Best Wishes

Thanks for the advice. It has us all scratching our heads today. Took one toilet off and can poor all the water I want in the drain with no backing up. I'm buying a small inspection camera to be able to see inside the toilet itself. But with there being no one in the house to plug the toilets, I just don't think there is anything in there. Anyways will let you know what I find/or don't find
