I have an old eljer toilet (the name is barly readable on the back of the bowl). The tank has the number 5240 and OCT 10 1960 and MADE IN USA clearly stamped in it. It also has what looks like: "2017 (space)6"stamped on the lid. The overflow tube is molded into the center rear inside wall of the tank. It also has molded into the inside front center wall of the tank a small stub to which is mounted a metal guide for a wire attached to the flush valve ball. The valve seat is also a molded part of the toilet tank. ANY HELP IDing AND FINDING REPAIR PARTS would be greatly appreciated.

Unless this toilet has some sentimental value, you might want to consider installing a new one.

Pictures always help.

Except for the lift wire 'guide arm', the rest of the parts are "off the shelf".

The only "special part" you need is a Fluidmaster "refill tube clamp" which attaches to the side of the tank and holds the refill tube into the overflow opening. Any hardware store will have the "upper and lower" lift wires and rubber tank ball. The fill valve is a standard one, so you can use any of the multitude available.
