After someone takes a shower, it still sounds like water is running behind the shower for a good amount of time (at least an hour). Not dripping, but running, with a sound very similar to what the faucet being on makes. At first, I would think that someone had left the shower slightly on, but no water is dripping at all, and there's definitely some difference between the sound when I have it barely on and the sound when it's fully off.
Any idea what could make it sound like it's still on?
Thank you!

I would first check all the toilets. Make sure the fill valves are shutting off before the tank level gets to the top of the overflow tube.

Not without being there and doing our own testing.

I'd start with the hands on the water meter. Before, during and after the shower. The water meter rarely lies.
