help identify old shower type / faucet
Author: Egiblock (OH)

Hey all,

this is all greek to me but i'll do my best.. I have a condo that was built in the early 80's and have no idea if these are original or replacements. they are not marked with any brand. the only thing i can find is 'moen' on the pipes behind the tub but i'm not completely sure if it's a moen system in the tub since it isn't marked.

can anyone identify this by the pictures ?

Call Moen. 1-800-289-6636. It is their shower valve. You can take a picture of it and actually text it or email it to them and they can tell you what model it is, and they will send you whatever it is you need free of charge.

On the crystal knob would have been a snap cover that said "Moen" but its missing. Yet, its a Moen. You can remove the knob and pull the cartridge, to see for yourself. As suggested, call Moen for free parts.

Best Wishes

Moentrol would have a balancing spool between the valve and the cold water inlet. It is just a plain Moen Legend series. It is easier to remember the phone number as 1-800-BUY-MOEN.
