 problems with shower head delta
Author: RG1

I have a delta Lewiston Model #:174902-RB tub and shower body. Its about 4 years old. Recently around thanksgiving the flow in the shower head increased to a strong spray. It used to be more of a light rain. I do not have an adjustment on the shower body to increase flow. This has also coincided with my water heater not having enough hot water for a few showers. The water heater is an ao smith gcvl 50 100. a 50 gal water heater. the water heater is 3 years old. We are a family of four. We do not take extended showers and this hasn't been a problem prior to this. I removed shower head and all seems ok. Any ideas what is wrong. The water temp is as high 1bout 120 for an extended time. Measured it to rule out a dip tube. Burner kicked on to heat tank during testing.

Maybe a Thanksgiving guest removed the flow restrictor without your knowledge.
