 Faucet brand labels
Author: sum (FL)

I have a question.

Why do companies that makes faucets and other devices do not put their brand or model on them?

Most of the time I could not find a label on the actual faucet.

On shower trim plates I usually see one. But rarely on faucets.

You would think they want their marks on things?

Not if they are made overseas. You will find this with the cheaper brands.

Do Moen, Delta and other US brands do that?

I mostly use oversea brands. I have one made by Dorn Bracht, one by Sigma, one by Newport Brass, most of the others I use Hansgrohe. I also have one by Watermark. All these are very high end faucets. None of them have labels except one Hansgrohe. Two of them have a label on the screw-in aerator, but that could be easily changed out.

It almost seem like they don't want you to find out.

You find it with ALL brands. About the only one which does identify its faucets, (and it is on the pop-up plug), is Phylrich, and they have just ceased production.

When you have a "lifetime" warranty, if you cannot find the manufacturer, you cannot collect on it.

pretty sure every Kohler i put in has a KOHLER stamped on it...Moens and Delta are also always marked too

when i find one w/o a stamp on it its usually a POS and gets tossed instead of trying to figure out where to get parts for it..

I don't see the Moen name on the kitchen and lav faucets I install.

However Moen does supply a sticker with the model number which I always stick on under the sink in a convenient location.

They recommend attaching it to one of the supply lines, although I cannot figure out why THEY can't do it.
