Author: mr leak (CA)

a commercial double sink drain with a floor receptoR drain there would be no need for any p traps in the sink drain configuration SEWER GASSES ARE NOT AN ISSUE BECAUSE THERE IS THE AIR BREAK. hOWEVER, THERE IS A P TRAP UNDER THE FLOOR TO PREVENT SEWER GASSES FROM EMITTING FROM THE FLOOR RECEPTOR CORRECT?

The floor sink should be trapped and vented.

make sure you have a 4" air gap (a funnel covering only a part part of the floor drain works with a 1" gap above the funnel)
